“I can communicate so much more about my life with my art than I can ever do in words, and just like a sunflower always finds a way to face the Sun, I am finally able to see the ‘good’ in a world of ‘bad,’ trusting that the Universe will have my back and guide me through whatever I experience in life.”

Kam's Favorite Piece

Kam’s motto comes from her favorite poet, Maya Angelou: “Nothing will work unless you do”. And as such, she began learning about entrepreneurship at the young age of twelve, earned an Associates Degree within the Art concentration from Waubonsee Community College, and even took a leap of faith at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic by becoming a full-time artist with no backup plan. Kam has always been a headstrong, driven and motivated woman, determined to live a life that she is proud of.

The Sunflower Kam’s artwork has been shown in exhibitions in the U.S., including Hairpin Art Center’s “Glow Up” show, as well as several live painter features at poetry and college networking events. One of her paintings was featured in Synkroniciti Magazine’s “Flow” issue, along with other gifted artists. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, an honor society dedicated to helping students achieve personal growth, career success, and empowering them to have a positive impact in their communities.
